Ursprünglich unter dem Namen Color Press Advertisers bekannt, wurde die Maracom Corporation 1951 als lokale Druckerei gegründet.
Das Unternehmen ist ein Spezialdrucker, der die USA bedient.
Als das Unternehmen sein Angebot um Marketing- und Werbedienstleistungen erweiterte, änderte es seinen Namen in Maracom,
eine Buchstabenkombination aus den Wörtern marketing, advertising and commercial Druck.
Mit der Einführung eines lokalen Vertriebsprogramms öffnete sich für Maracom 1986 der US-Markt.

Originally known as Color Press Advertisers, Maracom Corporation opened for business as a local print shop in 1951.
The company serves as a specialty printer that serves the United States.
When the company expanded to include marketing and advertising services, it changed its name to Maracom, which is a combination of letters from the words
marketing, advertising and commercial printing.

Anfang der 1990er-Jahre produzierte der Verlag "National Publishing, Inc." in Arizona und Californien "bei Nacht" Postkarten.
Da dieser Verlag vermutlich aber erst in den 2000er-Jahren durch Maracom übernommen wurde (so dass der UPC-A-Barcodes von von damals aktuell "Maracom" zugeordnet sind),
sind diese Karten in dieser Übersicht nicht Maracom zugeordnet, sondern nur zur Info am Ende ergänzt. /
In the early 1990s, the publisher "National Publishing, Inc." produced postcards "at night" in Arizona and California.
However, since this publishing house was presumably taken over by Maracom only in the 2000s (so that the UPC-A barcodes from then are currently assigned to "Maracom"),
these cards are not assigned to Maracom in this overview, but are only added at the end for information.

"Color Press"Dieses Layout, das wegen der fehlenden Ortsangabe nicht Teil meiner Sammlung ist, ist vermutlich die erste "bei Nacht" Postkarte von Color Press. Diese Karte wurde vielen Verlagen angeboten und über sie vertrieben. Auf der ersten ist kein spezifischer Verlag auf der Rückseite angegeben. Es ist auch die einzige Karte, auf der der Name "Color Press" aufgedruckt ist. / This layout, which is not part of my collection because of the lack of location, is probably the first "at night" postcard from Color Press. This card was offered to and distributed through many publishers. The first one does not have a specific publisher listed on the back. It is also the only card with the name "Color Press" printed on it. Alle Karten von Color Press/Maracom sind ca. 15,0 cm x 10,5 cm groß. / All cards from Color Press/Maracom are approx. 15.0 cm x 10.5 cm. Karten von Color Press haben eine fortlaufende Nummer mit vorangestelltem "CP". CP020 ist ca. aus dem Jahr 1987. Dieses Layout wurde auch von anderen Druckereien (z.B. argentofot) weitgehend gleich verwendet - ob mit oder ohne Zustimmung von Color Press ist nicht bekannt. / This layout was also used by other printers (e.g. argentofot) in much the same way - whether with or without Color Press' approval is not known.

Eine Variation mit gelber Region wurde vermutlich auch mit Nummer CP9309 hergestellt.
Nach Umfirmierung zu Maracom wurde sie unter MAR9309 mit modernerem Rückseitenlayout in den 2000er Jahren (erneut) herausgegeben.

Sie wurde mit zusätzlicher Nummer S-1753 für Strorer's Postcards in Tulsa, Oklahoma herausgebracht. /

Für Sunburst Souvenirs stellte Color Press neben anderen Bildpostkarten von Chicago (alle mit breitem Rand um das Bild) diese "at night" Karte her.
For Sunburst Souvenirs Color Press has printed this "at night" card next to other view cards from Chicago (all with thick border arround the image).
Karten, die von Color Press gedruckt wurden, haben auf der Rückseite "CP" und dann eine fortlaufende Nummer. CP2498 ist ca. aus dem Jahr 1988. Der Name "Color Press" ist nicht aufgedruckt. Da dieses Exemplar der Karte einen Barcode hat, ist sie vermutlich in den 1990er Jahren erneut gedruckt worden. / Cards printed by Color Press have "CP" on the back and then a sequential number. CP2498 is from about 1988. The name "Color Press" is not printed on it. As this card has a bar code on the back, it is probably reissued in the 1990s. |

Für Rushmore Photo & Gifts, USA-Rapid City SD, wurde diese Karte gedruckt. Rushmore nutzte verschiedene Hersteller, so auch John Hinde. Auffällig an der Karte von Black Hills ist, dass die Rückseite von John Hinde weitgehend kopiert. Auch die Vorderseite ist bis auf leicht andere Schriftart identisch. Ein anderes Design mit Mond hat Rushmore sowohl bei John Hinde, als auch leicht verändert bei Kaye's Printing herstellen lassen. / For Rushmore Photo & Gifts, USA-Rapid City SD, this card was printed. Rushmore used several different manufacturers, including John Hinde. What is remarkable about the card from Black Hills is that the back is largely copied from John Hinde. The front is also identical except for slightly different font. Rushmore had a different design with a moon produced both by John Hinde and slightly modified by Kaye's Printing. |

Zeitlich vermutlich nach Design #11 ließ Blue Grass Souvenirs das Design #4 mit Text oben bei einer anderen Druckerei in den USA (mit eigener Nummer BSG-9124)
und später die gleiche Karte bei Dexter in Kanada herstellen.

This "Nighttime in Kentucky" was produced for "Durham Advertising" in the late 1980s.
Timed presumably after design #11, Blue Grass Souvenirs had design #4 with text at the top produced by another printer in the U.S. (with its own number BSG-9124)
and later had the same card produced by Dexter in Canada.

Für den Verlag "NMN", USA-Crosslake MN, wurde eine generische "Night View" Karte gedruckt,
auf die diverse Städtenamen in verschiedenen Farben und Schriftarten nachträglich gedruckt wurde.
Die Karte wurde erneut aufgelegt, nachdem zu Maracom umfirmiert wurde
und entsprechend die Nummern auf den Karten statt des "CP" nun das "MAR" vor der beibehaltenen Nummer bekamen.

on which various city names were subsequently printed in different colors and fonts.
The card was reissued after the name was changed to Maracom
and accordingly the numbers on the cards now got the "MAR" in front of the retained number instead of the "CP".

Penrod/Hiawatha brachte für die drei Staaten später ein etwas abgewandeltes Design heraus, das vermutlich dann nicht bei Maracom gedruckt wurde. Es sind die gleichen Wolken, nur noch Bäume davor. Die Augen wurden anders platziert und z.T. anderen Tieren zugeordnet: / Penrod/Hiawatha re-issued a somewhat modified design for these 3 states, which was probably not then printed at Maracom. Der Verlag "National Publishing, Inc." hat Postkarten hergestellt, die das Layout von Citysights kopierten und ebenso ca. 16,5 cm x 11,5 cm groß sind.
Die Schriftart unterscheidet sich zu Citysights, aber auch untereinander.
Die Karten wurden über verschiedenen Distributoren in Arizona und Kalifornien vertrieben.
Spätere Karten haben den UPC-A-Strichcode, der aktuell Maracom zugeordnet ist. Eine Nummer von Maracom (CPxxx oder MARxxx) tragen diese Karten nicht.

The publisher "National Publishing, Inc." has produced postcards that copied the layout of Citysights and are also about 16.5 cm x 11.5 cm.
The font differs from Citysights, but also from each other.
The cards were distributed through various distributors in Arizona and California.
Later cards have the UPC-A barcode which is currently assigned to Maracom. A Maracom number (CPxxx or MARxxx) is not carried on these cards.
